3 Top Selling Lip Masks Put to the Test

top selling lip masks put to the test

Now that the cold weather is moving in, lip masks have become a regular part of my routine. For me, they're a must during fall and winter to avoid scaly and cracked lips. I put three top selling lip masks to the test to see if they're worth the hype.

LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask

The Claim: A leave-on lip mask that soothes and moisturizes for smoother, more supple lips overnight.

This is a great one. The texture is buttery, and it left my lips very soft. Even though it says it's for use at night, I love the way it looked on my lips so much that I've been wearing it as lip gloss, too. The pot is large, so it will last for months.

BITE Beauty Agave Lip Mask

The Claim: An intensive nightly recovery lip mask to soothe lips and replenish moisture.

This mask comes in a range of sheer hues as well as a clear option, which I find interesting because it says its for use at night. That aside, this is a very thick & sticky mask, and it has serious staying power. It didn't feel like it penetrated my lips as much as the LANEIGE mask did, but my lips were softer after a few uses.

ROSEBUD PERFUME Rosebud Salve

The Claim: A cult-favorite, multipurpose lip balm to soothe dry lips and skin.

This is a great option if you're on a budget. It's only $7 and will last you a good while. It's lightly scented, and has a smooth texture that makes you want to rub your lips together. It also has a beautiful sheer tint that magically looks good on everyone. Even better? It's multipurpose. I use it on my knuckles, too.
